Alter egos. Their appeal is undeniable. Just think how much Clark Kent must have enjoyed transforming himself into Superman at a moment's notice! To those who believe that developing an alter ego is an unrealistic endeavor, I offer the hope that such heights can be achieved through the selection of a "coffee name." I mean, who's gonna stop you from being whomever you wanna be whilst ordering that White Mocha Latte? My chosen alter ego/coffee name is "Jackson", so visiting "Jackson's Corner" for breakfast felt imperative while in Bend, Oregon. Although the "Avocado Toast" looked excellent on the menu without supplementation, I decided to increase its super powers by layering eggs and bacon upon it. While I'm not a bread guy, the "miche bread" from local bakery "Sparrow" was a superhero of its own accord and the radish provided a distinctive of flavor. The "French Toast Beignets" were pillowy soft, featured an incredible bourbon vanilla maple syrup, and included pecan butter to slather upon it. While signature coffee selections are available, their regular coffee was worthy of requesting a "to go" cup on the way out the door. Although the food, ambiance, and service needed no improvement, our experience was further enhanced by their music selection of often overlooked talents such as Lake Street Dive and Nathaniel Rateliff. Thank you @j_alexandra89 for recommending this place to us! And that's...Henry's Take. #bendbreakfast #superherobreakfast
Boy do I love this place! We come every time we are in town, and also chose where to stay recently based on proximity. Incredible breakfast, amazing coffee. And recently we tried dinner for the first time, too. They were very conscientious of my baby's diary allergy, as well. We love the breaky sammy, cinnamon buns, cookies, and the cardamom sea salt latte. We have to get those every time. We recently also enjoyed the biscuits and gravy and avocado toast. For dinner we had pizza, pasta, salads, and it was all delicious. And of course, the bread - incredible.
My husband and I had Jackson's Corner for dinner. He ordered the fried chicken and I had their salad special which was spinach, mixed greens, asparagus, sunflower seeds, and a buttermilk ranch dressing. I ordered it without the bacon bits so it didn't have a whole lot of flavor but I liked that they were willing to make it vegetarian and the veggies were super fresh. The fried chicken was a huge portion, juicy, and my husband said it was very well seasoned. He LOVED it. The service was friendly and the ambiance was chill. It was a great place to grab dinner.
Their bread and pasta is so delicious! I love everything they have, it is so well designed and executed. I have never tried their gelato though, but it does look delicious! I love that they help people find tables when it is really crowded, and it is counter-ordering which is efficient as well. This place is so good! But, don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself!
The service was great and so was the food. I definitely appreciate all of the staff for going the extra mile to ensure that my experience was good. It was a very popular place however it didn't feel like people were flying in and out on a Friday. It sounded busy however just fine. The dish picture: Bucatini Organic hand rolled pasta, butternut squash sauce, Groundworks Organic broccolini, fried sage, dried pomegranate arils My impressions: I loved it. You can tell they spent time making this dish. I didn't like the pomegranates however they provided sweet and crunchy textures. The lamb I wouldn't do again. I wasn't expecting it to be so fatty, that's on me, I know lamb is fatty. I wanted more broccolini but all it in all it was fantastic. I additionally purchased Rigatoni Alla Vodka Organic hand rolled pasta, creamy tomato sauce, parmigiano, basil and a pizza. Both were good. However the photo was the star.
Following a hike at Sparks Lake we stopped in at Jackson's Corner for a quick lunch before driving home to the Portland area. The parking is street parking but was easy to secure on a Saturday early afternoon. We had been to Jackson's Corner years ago with our kids when they were younger. Jackson's Corner was just as I remembered, cozy with easy seating, excellent food options available in a casual uncomplicated atmosphere. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to your table. We ordered the tomato soup and grilled cheese and then the breakfast sando and another bowl of tomato soup to dip it in. Sounds weird maybe but don't knock it until you try it cuz it hit the spot! I was excited to see that there were gelato offerings as well but we didn't try any of those this time around. We'll be back next time we get to play in Central Oregon!
Superb place for a brunch. The food is different from the usual choices and tastes delicious. They also have a coffee bar and have some pastry items. While you are there, one can stock on some minimal groceries too. The service is pretty prompt over all. Nice place to hang out in general.
Found this place while searching for a Sunday brunch spot at 10am. This was basically the only option, so it was pretty crowded. The line went back to the door nearly the entire time we were there. The line to order took about 10 minutes and then the food took another 35, so don't expect to be in and out of here quickly If you want something to snack on while you wait, grab one of the fresh cinnamon rolls. They're really tasty. They come room temp by default but you can ask them to heat it up if you'd like. Also, my friend got a chai tea and said it was the best he had ever had The Croque Ma'am is cheesy, creamy, savory and quite filling. I'd definitely recommend trying it. I also tried the tomato soup. For a side, it comes in a larger serving than expected. On its own, it tastes average but It comes with a small piece of bread that complements the flavor well. I'd recommend getting more fresh baked bread to dip in the soup and you could make that an entire meal
